Exclamation Who's winning the war?

I recently purchased Factions, (installing as we speak) and i have a general question. In the instruction manual it says that cantha will be "shaped" by PvP battles.

So.....

Who's winning the war?

Kurzicks, barely. They usually conquer one outpost, only to be pushed back once the Luxons have a bit of an advantage. The battle lines have shifted between neutral, and the first Luxon defense for the last month, almost without exception.

Peace,

the battle line tends to be neutral with the occasional kurzick advantage.

Really they need to update the lines on the website or something...

Is there any alliance battle outposts apart from Saltspray Beach and Etarnan Keyes? Those are the only two I've ever seen.

There are five, with Saltspray Beach being in the middle. Etnaran Keys is slightly biased toward Luxon, Kaanai Canyon beyond that is heavily balanced toward Luxon. Grenz Frontier and Ancestral Lands are slightly and heavily balanced toward Kurzick respectively.

Nada.

Maybe a little easier time in PvE as you don't have to pay off resurrection shrine guards, but that's a piddling little bonus and only matters if you're out in the explorable areas.

(Do a couple towns' merchants also shift who they'll sell to? I'm not completely up on what all the things it might affect is...just that it's relatively unimportant)

definatly! - Ive played this map from both perspectives for many many hours, its without doubt easier for kurzicks... which is frustrating for both sides because AVA becomes a boring repetative play on just two maps.

I havent noticed any difference since release. I was hoping as a Kurzick to push back into Luxon territory and see how far it can go.

the kurzicks have pushed the border all the way to leviathans mouth once before, very early into release. not too long ago, the luxons pushed in a little further than usual, but for most part its a stalemate, pretty much.

"pushing the battle line" turned out to be a pretty boring mechanic

Agreed.

I thought we would see something more dramatic, but honestly, I have NO IDEA what these lines do. Just some random squiggly line on the map that moves in one direction or the other sometimes. It would be nice if we could see some ACTUAL numbers.

Here is my idea:

Make 1 new "mission" area. If the territories are neutral, no one gets the mission. If Luxon push forward, they get the mission and vice versa. These missions would be like 10 or 12 man big and have rewards that people would actually fight for.

ALSO, the territory that the faction controls would have NPC's going around the area. So if a Kurz explores Luxon territory, there would be Luxon npc's fighting you and vice versa.

Quoted for truth. This issue really needs to be addressed. Don't tell me that there are even AFKers in these 12 vs 12 Alliance Battles now?

Im beggining to think that it was much better when it updated more frequently..

every 12 hours just means its all way to average, and there is hardly any change
